Photo Story - Hood River Turkey Trot

Runners register for the 2013 Hood River Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving morning. The event was held at the  Mark O Hatfield Trailhead in Hood River, OR.  Funds raised from the event were raised for the local Mosier Community School.
It's a beautiful but brisk Thursday morning as the runners prepare for the children's run. There are three different runs in the event, a 3k, 5k, and 12k. The route begins at  the Mosier Twin Trailheads.

Viewers look on as Benjamin wins the children's race and later received a blue ribbon.
"The Turkey" was seen all around the race area and was noticed by many on lookers. She was a crowd favorite and had many photos taken of her.
Participants were split up into multiple age categories. The first three across the line in each race received either a blue, red, or white ribbon; representing first, second, and third place.
